About

0154Hello and welcome to my little home here on the Intertubes! I’m A.J. Colby, author of the Riley Cray series.

I’ve always been an avid reader, thanks to my parents, who encouraged both my older brothers and I to read. But it wasn’t until I first read Interview With The Vampire at the age of ten that I fell in love with Fantasy, and Urban Fantasy in particular. From that moment on I’ve been hooked on all things vampires, werewolves, witches and all the other various beasties of lore and fantasy.

I’ve only recently begun to develop a mild sort of affection for the seriously misunderstood and maligned minority known as zombies, and I mostly credit that to the movie Warm Bodies. If you haven’t seen it, go watch it now.

Seriously…NOW. It’s okay, I’ll wait.

You done already? Wasn’t that movie great?! The soundtrack is pretty awesome, right?

I’m originally from England (you know, where the history comes from), but moved to the States as a teenager, so I guess I’m technically now more American than British. Don’t tell anyone, okay? I’ve been living in Colorado since I moved stateside and though I miss the rain and rolling hills of England, nothing compares to the sheer awesomeness of the Rockies (the mountains, not the crappy baseball team).

I consider any day I can write, whether it’s ten words or 2,000 a good day, and am constantly surrounded by support from my wicked awesome friends and family, horde of fuzzy minions of doom collection of adorable fluffy kitties, and my ever supportive, wonderfully nerdy and creative husband, Mr. Awesome Sauce.

  1. A.J., my friend! Welcome to my blog. Thank you for following. I appreciate having you along for the ride. Extra drivers always make the journey easier, and when they’re writing friends, you never run out of interesting things to discuss!
