Happy Wednesday, ghouls & boys.

There’s not much to report at the moment but I wanted to let everyone know that I haven’t fallen off the edge of the world and am currently drifting aimlessly in the cold reaches of space.

I’ve been in a bit of a slump lately, trying to wrap up Welcome to the Asylum – the short story that grew into a novella. I’m *this* close to being done with the first draft and will then begin the joyous task of editing, during which time I will likely threaten Mr. Awesome Sauce with bodily harm no less than 24,576 times. He’s such a trooper for putting up with my shit so lucky to have a wonderful person like me around.

I did finally experience a break in the “Meh’s” late last week… in the form of a concept for another series of books written in Riley’s world. Of course, because I’m a crack-addled monkey totally amazing and shit, I’ve already worked up a cover, devised a plot for the first book, and penned about 10k words of book one. Meanwhile, my other works have been languishing and feeling unloved. D’oh!

I know I really should get back to my current Riley WIPs, but Morgan has grabbed me by the collar and doesn’t seem to want to let go. And then of course there is the mysterious and brooding Eamon who’s going to be nothing but trouble, but oh, it will be so much fun too!

*sigh*

Such is the life of a creative type with a chronic case of ADOS (Attention Deficit… Ooh, Shiny!) Is anyone out there in blogland available to come keep me in line? Whips and other implements of torture can be provided upon request. References are preferable. Salary is negotiable.
