So last night Mr. Awesome Sauce and I were watching The Voice. It’s not something we watch regularly, usually just as a filler while we’re waiting for something else to come on. We were lucky enough to catch a contestant named Taylor John Williams sing a cover of Tears For Fears’ Mad World. This has long been one of my favorite songs, and in a rare moment of connection with the performance, I found myself almost brought to tears by this young man’s rendition of the song. This got me to thinking about other songs that have inspired a similar reaction, or another equally strong response.
