Yep, that’s me. I’ve been a bad author and have been neglecting my blog for a long time. I don’t even want to admit that I haven’t posted since last October, but there’s no denying it. There are several reasons why I’ve been absent for so long, but I don’t want to make any excuses. Suffice it to say, I’ve been gone for a few months, and now I’m back.

I know many folks are waiting for an update on the status of Unleashed, the next Riley Cray novel. I promise that work is still underway on Unleashed, but at this time I can’t provide an estimate of when it will be available. I’ve been working on a couple other projects that feature both Riley and some other characters from her world, and can’t wait to share those with you, so stay tuned for updates on some new short stories that will be available later this year!

Just to prove that I haven’t be slacking all the time I’ve been gone, here’s a little excerpt from one of my work’s in progress:

Man has long feared the dark and the creatures that dwell there. He has sought to chase away the monsters and fears first with fire and then with the tireless luminescence of electricity. And yet, in the quiet hours of the night, children still fear the unknown lurking beneath their beds, huddled beneath the comfort of blankets and reassurances that the monsters aren’t real. Well, I’m here to tell you that there is a reason why we still fear the dark.
The monsters are real.
And you are tasty.
