RIP, Sir Terry

TerryPratchett

It is with a heavy heart that I report one of modern literature’s greatest men has finally succumbed to that which comes for us all in the end.

Terry Pratchett has been an inspiration to countless souls, and will be dearly missed. I’ve been a fan of Sir Terry since my brother Ian gave me a hardback copy of Jango many, many years ago. Since then I have delighted in Sir Terry’s wit and boundless imagination, and enjoyed many hours exploring his magical Discworld.

May you ever wander beneath the stars on the back of the great A’Tuin, Sir Terry.

A'Tuin

For F*cks Sake!

Sick

It’s not often that I get all pathetic and whiny (though Mr. Awesome Sauce may beg to differ on that one), and I know I’m really pushing my luck and potentially tempting the gods here, but… seriously? Haven’t I suffered enough crappy health stuff already this year? Evidently not. Having only just recovered from pneumonia, I’ve now gone and got myself a nasty cold that has me feeling like a mountain troll has decided that my chest looks like a fine place to sit for a while. In other news… I did get caught up on the latest season of Downton Abbey and am halfway through the 3rd season of Walking Dead. At least I have Netflix to keep me company during the days when I’m confined to the couch.

And now it’s time for a nap.

Two blog posts in one day?! The world must be coming to an end.

I could have included this in my previous post but felt that it was important enough to merit its own post.

To commemorate the paperback release of Bitten, I’m running a giveaway on Goodreads where you can win a signed copy of Bitten. This is from the very first run of Bitten, so enter now and be the first among your friends to own a copy of the eagerly awaited sequel to Hunted!
